Hi, my name is Roger Reading.  I am an artist in Perth, Western Australia.  

I paint scenes from my life travels.  I have a studio in Perth and also paint 'en plein air' (in an open location).

My journey with art and its many challenges, started when I was overseas and I have been increasingly drawn to extend my feelings and thoughts into new innovative approaches.

For me, art is an act of creation.  My belief is that for the human species to grow, people must create outcomes with benefits.  Art does that and has its place in creation of the human life.  All the greatest civilisations valued art as a way of consolidation and growth.  In history art and creativity has always been valued as the basis for creating the future.
